Why Do Petrol Prices Change Daily?
Under the current pricing mechanism, OGRA works out revised prices from international oil market movements (Platts rates), the rupee exchange rate, premiums and the petroleum levy, and the federal government notifies them — at present on a daily basis, with rates taking effect from midnight. That is why the price you paid yesterday may not be the price at the pump today.
