Today Petrol Price in Pakistan

Methodology

This page explains exactly how the prices on this site are produced, so you can judge them for yourself.

Where the figures come from

Every price published here is the rate notified by OGRA (the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority) and the federal government, as reported from the official notification by national news sources (including Dawn, Aaj News and UrduPoint) and the oil marketing companies' published tariffs. We do not estimate, predict or adjust any figure.

Cross-checking

A new rate is only published after it agrees across at least two independent reports of the same notification. If reports disagree, the previous verified rate stays on the site until the notification itself settles the figure.

How updates work

Prices currently revise on a daily cycle. Each morning the site is rebuilt from a single price file that records today's rate, the previous rate and the dated history, and the new build replaces the old one only after the figures pass the cross-check above. The date on every page is the date the rate takes effect, not the date it was typed.

What we do not do

We never present an estimate as a notified rate, we do not invent city-level prices (OGRA notifies one nationwide ex-depot price; only premium fuels vary by company), and we do not silently change a published figure — corrections replace the number and the history entry together.
